Revit is proprietary software and documented on this site to support its use in OpenBIM workflows. The place to start learning about OpenBIM with Revit is the Revit setup for OpenBIM page. Libre software with Revit integration can be seen in the Revit extensions category
Two alternatives to Revit documented on this site are BlenderBIM Add-on and FreeCAD. Neither project is a stand-in replacement and both are under rapid development.
