"LibreCAD is a free Open Source CAD application for Windows, Apple and Linux. Support and documentation are free from our large, dedicated community of users, contributors and developers." The core of LibreCAD v 1 & 2 was built on the free/libre version of QCAD. There is a second release candidate for LibreCAD 2.2 which uses Gtk5 and has better DWG import.
LibreCAD is undergoing a full re-write to version 3. You'll find everything you need to know about LibreCAD on their website
