IFC can be used in several DWG based software. Today the latest developments in this filed come from the Open Design Alliance. ODA is a non-profit technology consortium that provides both IFC and DWG solutions for engineering applications. IFC result and handling may vary per product, as so the result in which IFC objects become DWG entities.

- BricsCAD BIM

Support of IFC2x3 and IFC4

IFC will be turned into mainly Solids (ACIS) with a variety of metadata

IMPORT OPTIONS

EXPORT OPTIONS

EXPORT BASE QUANTITIES

IMPORT PARAMETRIC COMPONENTS ETC

Example BIM import BricsCAD.jpg

- Ares Commander Support of IFC2x3 and IFC4 IFC will become "BIM entities" in the software

BIMDEBUG options: RVT support BIMMOVE, IMPORT OPTIONS, FOR NOW ONLY IMPORT FILTERS etc.

Example BIM import ARES commander.jpg
