IFC classifications

BuildingSMART International does not currently give example field values for IfcClassification definitions, leading to lack of standardisation of these values. The following table is provided to mitigate this issue, submitted here as a standard the industry is encouraged to adopt.

The full details of how classifications are to be represented are available in the IfcClassification Github repository, where all IfcClassification and IfcClassificationReference entities are provided for all of the classification systems listed below.
